This book by John McLeod is part of the distinctive features series of counselling/psychotherapy book by Routledge. This book covers the very basics of what Pluralistic therapy is. The first half of the book focuses of the philosophy and theory behind the framework. The second part is an example of how a pluralistic therapist may work, e.g collaborative, goal focused, client preferences focused and using case formulation.
Overall, I didn’t find this book as interesting and insightful as Mick Coopers handbook of pluralistic therapy, however it may be helpful to counselling trainees who just want a snapshot of the main features.
