I got this book shortly after it’s release as i saw it on the Facebook group of the same name which I have been a member of for a while. It’s a wonderful group full of people who have much experience of being labelled and are now challenging diagnosing within psychiatry and other psychological services.
Within this wonderful book are stories, history, challenges and the growth that people have been through whilst challenging their diagnosis. This book is mainly about practitioners asking ‘ What happened to you?’ rather then ‘What’s wrong with you?’ which is stigmatising and demoralising.
I would hands down recommend this book for anyone working with people whom may be diagnosed with a personality ‘disorder’. I would also recommend this for any individual who has been through the system of diagnosing and wants to challenge this view!
