This book was recommended to me whilst doing training on Generalised Anxiety Disorder.
This book is targeted for the person whom is suffering from Anxiety and is used like a self help book with exercises to asses and develop.
Personally, I found the first 4 chapters is this book brilliant as a way to educate clients of the neurological reasons behind anxiety. The authors write in a way that you do not need a science GCSE to understand!
The authors explain the two different pathways the brain creates anxiety and there are exercises for the reader to analyse which is more prominent for them.
The further parts of the book look at how you can then ‘rewire’ this is your own brain to lessen the anxiety.
In the rest of the chapters, I found myself losing the initial interest I had, however that may be because these didn’t link to my personal experience.
I would recommend the beginning of this book for both clients and therapists, however the later chapters in my opinion are geared more towards the client.
