About me & my practice:
I provide a caring, supportive, and non-judgmental environment to help you find a way through any difficulties you may be facing. What is on offer is my Pluralistic style of counselling. I offer you my honesty and respect while we explore issues you feel you would like to bring to counselling. This means you are empowered to discover solutions to issues in a supportive environment. My core approach is Person-Centred, meaning you are free to bring whatever you wish to counselling. I will not give you advice/or tell you what to talk about, however we will work together to find your own answers. If appropriate, I may introduce you to different styles of interventions I can offer. These may assist in finding understanding or solutions at times when you are feeling stuck/lost in what to talk about or do. You are always free to choose whether it is something you would like to try or not. It is very important in my style of counselling to tailor your sessions to your individual needs through a collaborative relationship.
I also am an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner *please see my website for more details*

About me & my practice:
I aim to create a caring, supportive and non-judgemental environment to help you work through whatever challenges you are facing. In my experience the counselling and psychotherapy process is about supporting others to discover, understand and accept themselves. This enables people to better navigate their way through the challenges of life and their relationships with others.
The foundation of my work is based on person centered principles, which in its simplest terms means that you are the centre of the process. I also integrate other approaches ranging from transactional analysis, Jungian psychodynamic, relational and transpersonal psychotherapy where these are suitable to the clients presentation.
After a 20-year career working with young people in education I progressed to work in wellbeing which led to retraining in counselling and psychotherapy. I have studies to post graduate Masters level and am currently working towards a Professional Doctorate. I also currently teach and train students of counselling and psychotherapy.

About me & my practice:
My practice is centred around the needs of the client. I offer a safe, comfortable and non-judgemental space to allow for clients to explore any concerns or areas of struggle within thier life. My base approach is Person-Centred, meaning that I will not steer the flow of the session, and the client will remain in control of the process. Additional training has also allowed for me to integrate areas of others approaches, such as CBT, elements of psychoanalysis, transactional analysis and attachment theories into the work carried out if the need for this is identified within the work carried out together. Ultimately, the autonomy of the client is always held at the centre of my practice and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable and safe.
I have experience of working within a time limited, solution focused way and also currently teach counselling and psychotherapy to students in training at Higher Education level.
